The historic York Cycle Rally returns in 2023! Join us for a free, family-friendly and 100% volunteer-organised grand weekend of cycling on York’s Knavesmire. Famous since 1945 as the annual ‘gathering of the cycling clans’, the York Rally draws cyclists from across the country for a friendly weekend of cycling activities, food and music.
It's also popular with day visitors from York and the area. There's free parking, free entry and just about all rides and activities on site are free too.
The York Cycle Rally is a grand, traditional and refreshingly non-commercial celebration of cycling in a family-friendly atmosphere, with camping available on site. We’ll look forward to seeing you in June!

(organised exceptions apply)....
For small riders, I believe 28 wheels would be faster than 26, otherwise we would see them on pro racers, especially when 26 exist on such cheap...
I'd anticipate that the busier junctions aren't that appropriate for cycling through red lights, but I do encounter plenty of less busy junctions...
A bit tangential but I love this one...
