The Brontë Sportive is organised in conjunction with the Manorlands cycling events group and is a challenging cycling event in the heart of the West Yorkshire Pennines.
Our 8th event will take place on Sunday 16th July 2017 and, as in previous years, there will be four routes to suit all abilities.
The big one, the Brontë Monster, is 88 miles long and, although it's by no means one of the longest sportives, it is recognised as being, mile for mile, one of the toughest sportives in the UK.
The event starts and finishes at the Keighley Campus of Leeds City College. Riders of routes 2-4 can set off between 7:30am and 9:30am; those doing the 23-mile route 1 can set off up until 10am.
This year, the routes are currently under review and will be posted as soon as possible.
They are likely to be:
Route 1 - 23 miles
Route 2 - 54.5 miles
Route 3 - 71.5 miles
Route 4 - The Monster - 90 miles
If you want to sign up now, we will make sure you are entered into the route nearest to your requested mileage.

Some of the comments on Facebook are comedy gold "you can't see a thing from a car until you are right up to the give way line!"
Driver crashes into pub, notable only for the fact the driver is not referenced once in the whole article...
So do I. Wonderful lady, full of admiration for her.
