Electric motors don't have to stop operating above 15mph, they have stop giving assistance.

I do like the approach, hope they succeed to get funded and we will see how well it works in real life conditions.

I can see that this allows for the cadence of the rider relative to the motor to change continuously, but that's not the same thing as is being claimed which is continuously varied gear ratios.

What happens when you go above 15mph and both electric motors have to stop operating?
Does the gearing then just drop back to the lowest ratio?
